If you browse the Academy catalog, you'll notice the courses are not generic. They are taught by real, working artists — some names you'll recognise, some names you'll be happy to discover.
Most of this curriculum comes from an archive of in-person retreats and intensive sessions we have helped run over the past few years. Classes on Traktor 101 with Etheria and Bloomurian. Advanced DJing with Captain Planet. Mose's Music Production Flow. Hella Precious on making your first beat. Tyler Blank on how to actually DJ an ecstatic dance. Heather Christie and David Satori on vocal production and finishing a track. Atyya on drums. Marya Starke on courting the muse.
Why it's being released slowly
Two reasons.
First, most of this footage was captured in intimate settings — small rooms, retreat ceremonies, people being vulnerable and learning in public. We check in with each teacher before anything goes live. That is slow on purpose.
Second, we want it to actually be useful. Long unedited recordings are an archive, not a course. So we are editing each class into a coherent lesson path, with descriptions, timestamps, and supplementary notes. Some courses already have summary material live; video modules will come online as they are cleared.
What is in the catalog today
- Two full DJing tracks: a beginner path (101/102/103 with Scott Nice, plus Traktor 101 with Etheria and Bloomurian) and an intermediate-to-advanced path (Captain Planet, Yemanjo, Tyler Blank, Equanimous, Mose).
- A production path that goes from "I've never opened a DAW" (Moondrop & Bloomurian, Jallebi, Hella Precious) to intermediate arrangement and finishing (Mose, Mixwell, Sasha Rose, Steffen Ki).
- Sound design and engineering specialisations with Scott Nice, Morillo, Atyya, and Ben Temple Step.
- A growing mindset / business corner with Mikey Pauker on bookings and Marya Starke on the creative relationship.
Who the Academy is for
We built this for the artist who wants to grow both their craft and their practice. Who wants to finish more tracks and also stay sane. Who wants to be booked for the right rooms, not every room. Who wants community, not content.
